The Start

From as long as i can remember, i felt closely connected with nature, i had a love for it, i found it fascinating.
I knew of many religions, something i was also fascinated about. Reading about them. But none of them clicked with me.

I had always found Witches cool. The hollywood type of witch i had new first. But when i learned of the real kind of witch in history, the ones who were hung and killed for being basically just a witch, i felt like i needed to learn more.

I somehow stumbled across Wicca and learned that witchcraft was a striving and was going strong in todays communities around the world. This pleased me. Looking more into it i learned alot of interesting things.

So what is Wicca and Witchcraft?

Wicca is a religion. Witchcraft is the practice.
You can follow the religion wicca and call yourself a witch if you pleased. But you could be a witch and not follow the religion Wicca.
For the religion aspect of wicca has elements of witchcraft, they also have other qualities too which make it a religion.

Wicca normally is a religion dedicated to peaceful living and a worship of nature. A Pagan religion.
Wiccans believe in one god and one goddess. A perfect balance and they live among us and in everything. Ever heard of mother nature? Wiccans believe in her as a goddess of earth. Also They worship the moon as a goddess and the sun a god. Ever wondered why the moon was called Luna?

Wiccans believe in powerful energies all around us and connecting us, respecting and apreciating every aspect of what is around us, from the plants, the soil, the sun beams, the animals, the wind, the rain.
With the Elements, Water, Earth, Air, Fire and Spirit being the main elements in which is a drive of powerful energies for one feeling connected.

In short. Wiccans believe 'Spell casting' is not the magic mumble jumbling you have been brought up to believe in stories and in movies. Spells and 'Magick' are infact real and true but in the form of energy, sending off positive energies out into the world to get positive energies back is what it all really means.

And so with that, Wiccans do not believe in doing bad, as sending out anything bad, will then bring back bad energies.

There is so much more about this beautiful religion and practice, but in short, how could anyone dirty the name of a witch just out of pure misunderstanding? How could anyone kill a man or woman for respecting the world around us? How can you think this is Evil?
